You can get rich quickly by investing.
Investing is often presented as a way to build wealth, but that doesn't mean it is a quick way to get rich.
Imagine you invest ₹10,000 and your investment earns 8% in a year. You would have around ₹10,800 — a ₹800 gain. That's useful, but it isn't going to make you a millionaire overnight.
The bigger advantage of investing often comes from time.
When your investment earns a return, those returns can stay invested and potentially earn returns of their own. Over many years, this compounding effect can make a much bigger difference than a single year's growth.
But investing also involves risk. The value of an investment can fall as well as rise, and there is no guaranteed way to predict which investments will perform best.
Someone might get lucky and make a huge profit from one investment. But relying on that happening is very different from building wealth consistently.
So if you see someone promising that an investment will make you rich quickly, be careful.
Real investing is usually about patience, not shortcuts.
